Roger Carvey Watts' latest two tracks are tight, well-conceived/constructed techno bases beneath lovely and emotive melody lines, with the emphasis on well-balanced dramatic pacing. Have become a fan of his Fractal Architect work, and his keen skill in crafting rhythmic tracks that tell a "story." I may hear a bit of Jarre influence (from the "Zoolook" era). Whereas "Rust" is more of an uplift, "Cenote" tends to be more dystopian, and is the standout track for me. Support this artist, buy these tracks! Favorite track: Cenote.

Cinematique proudly presents the appearance of Fractal Architect on our label. Fractal Architect is the artist name for the DJ, producer and promoter Dan Watts. As a teen of the eighties, Dan witnessed the establishment of techno and house music as it filtered over the water from Chicago and Detroit, before finally exploding into popular culture in England through the original Energy rave parties in London.

A dedicated techno lover to the end, Dan was one of the many DJ’s at this time who were responsible for introducing the likes of Richie Hawtin, Underground Resistance and Joey Beltram to the U.K. Dan has DJ’d with many of the world’s best including Carl Cox, Nick Warren, The DJ Producer and Colin Faver.

Dan has been a busy man in the past but even now with a wife, four children and a degree in his pocket, he still manages to find time to go into the studio and unleash one fine track after another. With recent releases on Manual Music/MNL, Inlab, Adro and Opendecks Records he certainly made a big impression. We're happy to have him aboard with this EP including 2 beautiful original tracks and a lovely remix by familiar face Julio Largente.
