about

Manual Music is happy to show you the debut album of Christian Bachmann. The Dutch label is celebrating it's 10th anniversary this year and has always been a safe haven for openminded intelligent electronic music, a description that fits the sound of Christian Bachmann all too well.

The Berlin based sound wizard has been releasing quality stuff on underground labels such as Mind Field Records and Solid Shape Recordings in the past years and felt the time was right to go all out and show what he's capable off on a full LP. The result is here, and it's titled 'Premium'.

Christian takes you on a journey during the 14 track album, showcasing his love for robust 'in your face' analog synthesizers and drums. Back to the roots of electronic music; no boring lifeless clinical music, but pure rawness made with machines!

Whether you'll listen to the pretty first single 'How It Is To Be Free', the ambient soundscapes of 'Weekly Active User', the punk-esque 'Living The Brand' or the housey 'Offline', all songs carry the trademark raw analogue Christian Bachmann sound.

Considering this is only the debut album of this Berliner we feel it's pretty safe to say the future is looking bright for Mr. Bachmann and we can't wait what he will come up with next. But until then, enjoy the trip that is titled 'Premium'!
