Celebrating Manual Music's 100th release in a special way: with the introduction of the brand new artwork look + the introduction of London based singer/songwriter Patchy!

Some might remember Patchy from her 2011 collab with Piet van Dongen, when they released the 'She Can't Stop This' single on Manual Music, which included fine remixes by Jesper Dahlback and Jarno. This single was very well received in the international techno scene, and shortly after, the idea was born to start working on Patchy's solo debut album, which will be due for release on Manual Music this May!

Patchy describes her sound as 'buzzy bumpy thumping beats, rumbling basslines & starlight synths'. Crafting everything herself & performing with just a Roland synth and backing production, Patchy sings with a poignant and cryptic style.

We're proud to present you the first single of Patchy's debut album, 'Picnic'. 'Picnic' is about having a McDonalds "picnic" on the tube during a long golden, summer weekend, being out and about in East London. It's about being young, free and happy.

On remix duties we welcome back Audiomatique artist Piet van Dongen on board. Having done various releases on Manual Music in the past, and of course having worked closely together with Patchy before, there wasn't a doubt in our mind that Piet was right the man for the job. He proved us right, delivering a peak time dance floor bomb!

The other remix comes from Dawad, the man behind the infamous IRM Records underground label from France, and also a recording artist for Klangwelt. Dawad turns 'Picnic' into a dark obscure climaxing builder, a great piece of art which takes you on a journey from the first until the last second!
