We welcome Sandji on board at MNL for two fresh underground techno movers. Sandji is a Rotterdam based artist with a very distinctive sound who is mainly know for his releases on various labels within the Proton family like Particles, Apollo, A Must Have, Silk Textures and Lowendcommunity to name a few. 'Funk Soul Aubade' is the first of two releases we've signed from him.

The title track 'Funk Soul Aubade' is a classic timeless tech house. One of those tracks you'll hear on the dancefloor and makes you wonder if it's something new or something obscure from 15 years ago. It's a funky minimalistic builder which keeps the listener captivated for the full 9 minutes with it's contant subtle twists, turns and additions. On the b-side you'll find 'Rollin''. This track is based around synth stabs and quirky loops but, although it's warmer and less minimalistic, embodies the same timeless feel and dose of funk as it's predecessor.

A lovely classy and timesless release here by a very talented musician with lots of eye for detail without losing sight of the dancefloor.
